About Me
I grew up in southeast Alabama, the peanut capital of the nation, with an affinity for tap dancing and a passion for makin’ stuff. I remember sneaking into my father’s barn and using the off limits tools to create art pieces. I was wildly theatrical and thoroughly enjoyed embarrassing my older sister by loudly singing Céline Dion songs in the middle of grocery stores.
After college, I jumpstarted my career in Mobile, AL first at an online university as a graphic designer, then as a production artist at Red Square Agency (now Good Giant). Throughout my 10 year stint in Boston from 2012-2022, I was a freelance designer with various agencies including Jack Morton and (the artists formerly known as) ISM Travel Lifestyle Marketing, and climbed the ranks in the creative department at The Improper Bostonian magazine. I’m currently holding down the fort as Executive Content Director (formerly the creative director) for Culture magazine, a national publication devoted to cheese.
